Founder of The Great Delta Tour Company and Master Naturalist. Barbara was born in Ohio but is from New Orleans. With over 20 years as a community and economic development practitioner in coastal New Orleans, , Barbara brings a passion and track record for building partnerships that move communities toward their full potential.

Peter Yaukey

Co-Author

Creator of the Great Delta Discovery Tour, Dr. Peter Yaukey brings extensive knowledge and research as a geographer and biology professor of the region’s natural environment. He is a great naturalist, birding expert and story teller of his nature adventures.

JoAnn Burke

Tour Guide

WIth a Master’s in Education, Joann brings a rich science background as an engaging and energetic educator and tour guide. Born in New Orleans, Joann led the impactful education initiatives of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Basin Foundation in the region.
